Last week our class read the story Cocoa Ice. This story is about two young girls. One of whom lives in Maine and the other in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Since we didn't know much about Santo Domingo we researched the area and learned a lot about the different fruit trees that grow there. We were lucky enough to be able to try some of those fruits. Enjoy some pictures highlighting our experience.

What an interesting activity. Joshua is still talking about how good the fruit tasted. Now I have to look for mango and papaya at the grocery store! I hope you had fun.
